Nail in tyre - MOT fail?
Comments
-
Nail in tyre equals new tyre. Surely your life is worth more than a "repair". I know mine is.0

yep, sorry two new shiney tyres.
Make sure they are both on the same axle, (preferably the driven wheels) as winter is here, you'll want all the grip you can get.0 -
Drivers need more education I guess its common sense to most.
I can not believe someone asked the question about mot fail or pass. Should be sorted either way before a blow out happens.Google gives you answers use it.........0 -
It baffles me as well that someone would know about a potentially very dangerous fault with their car for seven months, and not even attempt to get as far as fixing it.
My car would have been beached in the driveway, and the second one used until I had sourced two new tyres, the minute I noticed the nails.
It puts the arguments about cheap Chinese tyres into context!0 -

£20 to repair it then f*ck it up then you'll deffo need a new tyre. I wouldn't trust kiwk fit to remove the wheel nuts let alone repair a tyre.
OP repair or replace as others have pointed out you know there is an issue and it could cause a blow out.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
£20 for a puncture repair
Go to a local tyre fitter instead. Will by around £5 and done by someone who actually knows what they are doing!
NEVER go to Kwik Fit for anything to do with tyres. Local tyre fitters are nearly always cheaper and better.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Just get the tyres repaired and stop trying to cut corner with your safety and others....0

These people and their driving decide if you live or die ? jeez0

OP the nail will come out or trye will fail when you are in a rush eg catching a flight etc. Sods Law applies here. If it was me I would get it repaired at my earlest convenience.0
