Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but i am after a little bit of advice...
I took back a pushchair back to mothercare and had it put on a mothercare refund card, there is £280 on it. However somehow its been lost (along with the receipt!) ive never activated it, i just wondered weather there is someway mothercare can trace it, see its never been activated and re-issue it? i bet this is a long shot, its so much money to lose tho
I email mothercare customer services and she said she cant only re-issue it if i had the long number - which obviously i dont
thankyou all x

As a long shot, use proof of purchase for the pushchair to convince them to send you a duplicate receipt.. then see they have details of the associated refund.
However, probably not possible since the thread linked above has a completely different story:Please can somebody give me a bit of advice, i saw an advert for a mothercare gift card on gumtree, i contacted the seller and we agreed he would send it,as i dotn have paypal and neither did he, he gave me his bank details and i sent money through. The card was send special next day delivery (card worth £280) my husband signed for it this morning, bought it in, only to find it looks like the post office machine has ripped it open as there is no card at all inside!
The problem is the reciept for 'proof of value' was in the envelope too (also missing)
on the royal mail forms it says i need to enclose proof of value, but i have non, all i have is my bank statement to say money left my account and went into his, have i just lost the £160 i paid for it?:(:(:(
