Inaccurate Penalty Fare

Options
Any thoughts on whether or not a Metro fine would stand if details recorded are inaccurate. Station and time at station are wrong.

I was caught without a ticket at 22:00 on the Metro system (NE England) yet penalty fare that was filled out states 10:00 and is the wrong station. I know a parking ticket has to be filled in accurately and was wondering if the same would apply as at 10am I was at home and not at the train station.

I gave my name and address and signed. The inspector filled the rest in and placed his badge number on it.

Then you signed a contract of confession and you are guilty of what you signed:
    Any more questions ?

The worst part about it is that I found the ticket I thought I had lost but they won't accept it. They want £20 for the fine when it was a £5 ticket.

I have appealed again as clearly states 24hr for the time and this part is the inspectors responsibility to complete!

You will be very lucky if they accept it, they have a signed confession and you have signed to say that those details are correct and that you had in fact committed the said offence.

My only 'out' is that the details I have given are correct ie; name/address/DOB and that details recorded by inspector are his responsibility
