Any thoughts on whether or not a Metro fine would stand if details recorded are inaccurate. Station and time at station are wrong.

I was caught without a ticket at 22:00 on the Metro system (NE England) yet penalty fare that was filled out states 10:00 and is the wrong station. I know a parking ticket has to be filled in accurately and was wondering if the same would apply as at 10am I was at home and not at the train station.0

I gave my name and address and signed. The inspector filled the rest in and placed his badge number on it.0

Then you signed a contract of confession and you are guilty of what you signed:

The worst part about it is that I found the ticket I thought I had lost but they won't accept it. They want £20 for the fine when it was a £5 ticket.0

I have appealed again as clearly states 24hr for the time and this part is the inspectors responsibility to complete!0

You will be very lucky if they accept it, they have a signed confession and you have signed to say that those details are correct and that you had in fact committed the said offence.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. My only 'out' is that the details I have given are correct ie; name/address/DOB and that details recorded by inspector are his responsibility0
