I like to split a chicken breast, put a spoonful of cranberry sauce in it along with some stilton, then wrap it in bacon and bake it. Really delicious.
  • We have cranberry with any roast dinner or casserole, the sweetness is lovely with lots of meals.

Cranberry and balsamic vinegar makes a tasty sauce to serve with chicken breast (especially stuffed with something like cheese). Heat some balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan, allow it to reduce slightly and add cranberry sauce to taste.HTH
  • Yum! Many thanks!

I use it in sandwiches to make them bit moister- ham, cheese, meat etc.
On crackers with cheese, meat or some pates.
Use it as a glaze on roast meats, chops, tuna, salmon etc. It's particularly nice with lamb or venison.
    In meat gravies. casseroles.
It helps to hold homemade burgers/meatballs together.
Add a little to fruit or other bread loaves.
Cake mixtures/ cookies (white choc chip and cranberry cookies/ muffins are nice.)
As somebody else suggested, stick a dollop on a baked potato with cheese (apple sauce is also nice!).

You can use it in all sorts of things. I must admit I'm a big cranberry sauce fan!

  • Today I have stuffed chicken thigh's with cranberry sauce and strong cheddar wrapped in bacon and threaded all 4 onto 2 skewers for ease.
We will have broccoli, buttered cabbage, mash and carrots to serve.

  • Sticky sausages ( could use chops or chicken breasts I supppose)

Brown as many sausages as you like

put a jar of cranberry sauce in an oven dish and add 4/5 TBL SP or more or less english mustard (you can hardly taste it later)

Add the sausages and stir well with sauce

cover with foil or lid and cook in oven on 190C for 40 mins take lid off and cook for 10 more minutes to make sauce go sticky
  • i really wish i never read this thread.
