Have I missed my e2save/OSPS Cashback Claim?

I'm getting very confused about the bills/dates needed for my first claim and I've just got the paperwork out and it looks like I've screwed up!

I took out 2 O2/CPW contracts on 24/10/06 (one from e2save and one from onestopphone shop). Both cashbacks are based on sending in bills 4/8/12. As my billing date (for both contracts) is on the 12th, my first bill was 12/11/06, I assumed that Bill 4 would be the Feb one (ie. 12/02/07) which I would need to send in now.

However, I've just been on the e2save website and it says that for October contracts, the January bill should have been sent in, and its already over the 30 day time limit for this! I don't understand how the January bill can be classed as Month 4?

Should I now send in the January bill and hope for the best or send in the 4th Bill (as it says on the "order" details) and argue the case if they reject it? The bills themselves are numbered which is why I was thinking February (being "4) would be the one needed.

I know a lot of people have been through this so I'd be grateful for any pointers (I'm in the same boat with OSPS as well).

    Hi

You sound as though you are in the same boat as I was last year. Look at Post No.13.

I was paid out but I was on Orange and not O2/Carphone Warehouse Bills so do not know if the same will apply to you. Worth a try though

With regards to OSPS they might be slightly different as in the past and the contracts I have now they have said you must be connected for that amount of months before the claim is valid i.e. if you bought on 24th October, you need to wait till after 24th February before claiming. To check your proper dates for yourself OSPS have a calculator to tell you exactly when your claim is valid. You need to put either your mobile number or your order number into their Cashback Calculator. If you click on this link Cashback Calculator it will take you to the correct page. The Calculator is on the fourth line under the heading "Cash Backs"
  • The calculator doesn't work for me..
It unable to locate my order at is placed early Nov 2006.

As they only come up with this thing recently, not sure if they have included the data in the past.

Anyone have their order show up in calculator which is before late Oct?

I only noticed the calculator after placing my last orders in December 2006, but I decided to try my old contract which was taken out in December 2005 and finished in December 2006 and it did work - told me which claims were complete and the dates the cheques were raised and at the time my third claim was still active but I have just checked again and this also tells me when this cheque was raised. It didn't work if I put in the mobile number but it did work when I used the Transaction Number.

According to the calculator my first £90 cashback can be claimed during the period 13 Feb to 15 Mar.

I placed the order on 12 oct so that makes sense. However my 5th bill is due on 15 Feb.

Which bill do I send in, bill 4 covering the period till 14 Feb or bill 5 covering the period till 14 Mar?

    Many thanks

You must send your most recent bill (providing it is not older than 28 days, at the time you make a claim.)

I think the 28 day rule from their website means I send in bill 5.
