You can sell the car without an MoT, but it will be worth peanuts. Certainly, make out a receipt, along the lines of a simple Bill of Sale. Just follow the instructions on the V5 for selling a car privately. You could always get an estimate from a garage to see how much it would cost for the car to pass an MoT, without committing yourself to spending the money. Let us know how you get on - good luck.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

£10 for autotrader and pistonheads?!
anyone know the best way to put car on ebay? make it a buy it now offer? or bidding type thing? minimum price? cash in hand? they buy it without seeing it first?
Er.... spanner in the works - continous insurance. If it's taxed does it not have to be insured now? Therefore you need to flog it before the insurance is up or declare it SORN at which point it can't be driven on the road at all.
Autotrader will probably get you a lot of traffic for a tenner.
eBay is a funny fish. Remember, they take a big slice of the final auction price. the alternative there is to run a classified Ad with best offer. That's just a straight £14.99
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0
