PAYG Android phone £100-£150 recommendations?

I'm looking for a PAYG Android phone, betwen £100-£150. But I need the following features:
3.5mm headphone jack (easily accessible) - I listen to a lot of mp3's on my phone, and I want to continue to do this. I also have an iPod Touch, but I don't listen to mp3's on that because it's case makes it awkward, and because I like to save the battery for other things like internet and games. And besides, it's useful to listen to mp3's on the phone anyway, because then if someone calls me I don't miss the call, and can hopefully take the call through the headphones
A great camera for photo and video (HD would be great) would be nice, as the iPod Touch camera is not so good. This isn't essential though
A decent battery life, especially when listening to mp3's
I'd like to be able to buy a case for it with built-in screen protector, like the Griffin Survivor case for the iPod Touch, which protects the whole device and the screen, while still allowing touch-screen use
A popular network - Maybe T-Mobile? I'm currently on Virgin Mobile, and it's free calls to other Virgin Mobiles is all but useless, as I don't know anyone else who has a phone on Virgin
So far I'm looking at the HTC Wildfire S, which looks like a great phone. Although I don't know yet if it has all the above features.

T-Mobile Vivacity
£90+£10. £20 TCB cashback.
For more information see this (outdated) thread at HUKD:T-Mobile Vivacity Android 2.3 Smart Phone PAYGand this new one: T-Mobile Vivacity Black (PAYG) - £99.99 including £10 top up @ T-Mobile
Don't know about a "case for it with built-in screen protector", but IMHO it would be a waste of money for a £90 phone.
BTW, it is much better than wildfire S: www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4347&idPhone2=37770 -
What about the samsung ace £119 on 3 from carphonewarehouse or the mini @ £89 ?Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0

The Vivacity/OSF2 is better than the cheap Samsungs.0

I've got an Orange Monte Carlo (ZTE Skate) which has a reasonable battery life (about 2days if you have 3G and WIFI Off) and excellent phone for £89 at Argos although I think that deals come and gone otherwise it's £120ish in Orange shops, for your price range I don't think you will get a great camera and certainly not and HD quality Camera...0

The camera isn't essential. It's mainly about listening to mp3's. And being able to make and receive calls and hear the caller easily etc0

without doubt the acer liquid metal at around £110 with cashback and code knocks the spots of a monte carlo and vivacity

in what way?:o
To be honest there pretty evenly matched in terms of Spec except for the OMC having a 4.3" screen compared with the ALM having a 3.6" screen.
and neither phone is a looker:p the stock look of the OMC is horrible but really comes into it's own with a free launcher (Go Launcher ftw!:D)0 -
The battery life is apparently much longer, although the capacity is the same.IceColdRum wrote: »in what way?:o
Don't know if this makes any difference, but Vivacity's processor is 7227 and Acer's is 7230. Both are 800 MHz.
Also, I have not seen any information on video recording quality for Vivacity while it is 720p for Acer.0 -

Ah, well then if the OP is after a phone with a good camera then that would appear to be the better choice;)0 -
Get the Acer Liquid Metal 100%.
It has a better specification (Adreno 205 GPU and newer and faster processor)
The build quality will be much better.
The T mobile Vivacity and the Orange phones are built so cheap, they look cheap too.
The Acer Liquid Metal is 100% the best choice, I promise. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
