Hi Everyone,
I've moved house and have connected a BT line which I can;t change for three months.
After three months, I want to sign up to the Carphone Warehouse deal, but in the meantime I want a cheap broadband provider that I can sign up to for just three months and then cancel. WIth such a short term, I'm also looking for one with no connection / set up fee.
Does anyone have any suggestions / recommendations?

I very much doubt there is any.
For a BT broadband based connection the line needs to be upgraded at the exchange to an ADSL line. OK if the house has had broadband by BT in the past but you'd need to buy yourself an ADSL broadband modem, which is normally supplied by your ISP.
and most have a minimum contract of 12 months.
I should think dial up is your only temp alternative.
good luck tho.:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0 -
i don't know of any isp that will do exactly what you want atm.
Most ISPs offering free connection have long contracts, so you need to read the small print to make sure they don't hit you with a *cancellation fee* if you leave early
A lot of ISPs have changed their packages very recently.
I'm not sure that list from Eaglesaver is entirely up to date. For instance AOL are now saying on their websiteOrders for all offers must be accepted by 01/04/07. Min 12 months contract. New AOL customers only.0 -
I moved last November and wanted to do exactly as you. I found freedom2surf (https://www.f2s.com) dont charge a connection fee if you stay with them for at least 3 months. I'm paying £19.99 per month for three months and will then probably switch to talk talk.0

You can buy yourself out of the BT 3 month period for £18 up until the 30/4/2007, when they are stopping it.
But Talk Talk  Have you read this thread
