    Seems the OP has done a flit. But so far it looks to be 2.3%(or thereabouts) off Mastercard for 'supported currencies' plus the 'maintenance' costs.
    The actual figures for a few currency swaps would have been useful in confirming that a figure identical to the BNZ Sell rate is used, especially as a few threads exist but none with those figures(that I've noticed).
    Even the card maintainers suggest they use another source for their rates.

    Probably not bad for the NZ market, but not particularly attractive here.
