Recommend 10.5KW electric shower

    as the existing shower is 8.2/8.5 kw it may have a 30a mcb, which won't be big enough for a 10.5 kw shower which will req a 40/45a mcb & if this has to be changed then the electrician will need to notify lbc or be part p reg, sorry for the confusion if i didn't make myself clear, what you are talking about is a like for like change which is not what the op was asking

    Yes thats sort of the point I was trying to make. To reword your sentence slightly: then the electrician will need to [STRIKE]notify lbc[/STRIKE] contact LABC to come and do the Part P paperwork or be part p reg in which case he can self-certify.
