I've only just realised it's changed, it looks good.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Is this where we put feedback for the new look?
Its awful. :-( Ive never understood why people 'fix' things that arent broken. It now looks like a child has coloured it in and theres tons of white space down the sides which makes it look all squished up in the middle.0 -
I agree. Not nice! Not much has changed from the 'original' layout, let's be honest, but trying to read this on a netbook is horrendous! Previously MSE was fine and accessible, now it just hurts my eyes trying to focus on the narrow column of squashed text in the middle of the page!0

I echo this. I'm viewing on a 22" widescreen, but it's still making my head hurt. Who's stolen all my pixel real estate? Biiiig step in the wrong direction imho. (both Chrome and IE9)0 -

You can make it stretch to fit the whole page. Go to User CP, Edit Options, scroll all the way to the bottom where you'll find miscellaneous options, forum skin and select new masthead stretchy. Et Voila!0 -

The only thing I have in Miscellaneous is Event reminders
Edit: Have just found it, sorry. Much better now. Thanks0 -

The masthead and the clickable linkies at the top of the main page don't look much different to before - in fact if you hadn't told me it was changing it would probably have taken me a while to notice, even though there's more empty space!
BUT on the forums having all the blank space to both sides and everything squashed in the middle means that titles now run across two lines and it's much slower to browse - please get rid of all the wasted empty space and let the thread titles move back to one line again. The new format is not user friendly.0 -
I suppose it will take some getting used to.
Personally, don't like it.
Have followed tips in this thread and 'stretched' it back to how it was nearly before.0
