yodel couriers

Yodel are the worst courier company I have ever dealt with. They will not deliver on a Saturday which I find very odd. Secondly I was promised that they would redeliver in the evening, came home to find they had again attempted a morning delivery. When I phoned to complain the person on the phone promised me a manager would call me back that evening, this did not happen. When I phoned back the call centre agent would not let me speak to a manager or supervisor claiming they are not allowed to escalate the call. During this conversation I overheard other members of staff in the background shouting and swearing. All in all a very unprofessional company who seem to think that we are in all day long to receive our mail and do not offer any flexibility for those of us who work full time.

why do you find it odd?
the majority of couriers treat Saturday as a non service day bar those that offer it at a premium
you work full time but not on a Saturday? is that the same for everyone who works full time?0 -
I missed a weekday delivery, and could rearrange for a weekend. Perhaps its linked to the service that the sender booked, afterall your not the customer, the sender is.Power is good, but then you get the bill....0

No I also work Saturday mornings most weeks, at my last job I worked most weekends but my partner is in during the day on Saturday. Other couriers I have had post delivered through have arranged to deliver in the evening and stuck to this promise or delivered on a Saturday.0 -
A Yodel courier delivered my dog food this morning - and the nice man even offered to carry it inside for me

iv never had a problem with yodel, they deliver my parcel on the day its been arranged for delivery.
if your not at home when they delivery or dont hear the door then its not there fault.0 -

How much do you think Amazon pay Yodel per delivery and more importantly why do you think Amazon feel the need to cut costs?
Yodel deliver goods from one of my suppliers, the actual Yodel employee is great, the depot aren't too bad and the home delivery drivers obviously vary. The central CS is very poor indeed.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
