i have just started getting my organic fruit and veg delivered and although we have a butcher nearby he's not that good his meat is a fair price but it isn't locally sourced its from ireland (i think). when i start driving i'm going to start looking around for farm shops etc and next month i might try riverfords meat box see how that is.Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts

Jesus, this thread has made me feel physically sick! I buy all my chilled meals from Asda, mainly because OH and I work pretty long hours, and I'm guessing that if Asda do it them others do it as well, including M&S which is my other staple shop! I don't buy frozen food apart from veg, but I we live on chilled meals during the week as they're easy to throw in the oven when whoever gets home first!
Unfortunately, as someone else has pointed out, the supermarkets have caused butchers, fishmongers etc to close down - I have no option, living out here in the sticks, to go to the nearest town and shop in either Mr Ts or Asda - and I can't get veg boxes delivered, although I grow my own. I used to live near a fantastic butchers and would only buy their meat, but there isn't one for miles around here.
Thanks for starting this thread, god it's really made me think now!0
