Blue Badge holders, correctly parked, with correctly displayed Blue Badges in hospital grounds are increasingly being ticketed by PPC's in 2012 for parking offences.
In short do people reading this thread know of anyone, even one single someone who has been taken to a court of law for refusing / ignoring what is in law a Private Parking Company's speculative unsolicited invoice. If you do can you click one of the two buttons in the poll and if possible link me to any specific case / incident/ evidence / outcome URL etc.
Thanks for your time .. .. its appreciated !
Correctly Parked :
Not where emergency vehicles stop or go in and out e.g. hospital entrances or where the kerb has been lowered or the road raised to form a pedestrian crossing, or on a pavement unless signs permit it, etc.

Mine too. In fact all of the hospitals that I attend have this policy.
They are well within their rights. Some provide the special bays but you should still pay as does everyone else.
There is no such thing as 'free parking' in most hospitals now.Car parking rules
1. Parking is prohibited in the following areas and these rules also apply to holders of disabled blue badges.- on double yellow lines and hatched areas
- in ambulance bays
- access roads
- on pathways and soft grassed areas and verges
- fire access routes and by fire escapes
- all areas not designated for parking.
3. All vehicles parking in pay and display areas must display a valid parking ticket clearly in the windscreen.
4. Vehicles must park within the marked bays.
5. Parking in areas designated for “Staff” requires a valid permit. Only holders of Hot Permits may park in the Hot Parking Zones.
6. Only vehicles displaying a valid blue badge may park in the marked disabled bays. The vehicle must display a valid parking ticket clearly in the windscreen. Permit also required for Staff parking.
7. Motorcycles must park in designated areas not in car park bays.
8. No vehicle shall occupy a drop off bay for longer than 15 minutes.
9. Any vehicle observed parked in contravention of the above rules will make the owner/driver liable to enforcement action for which a fee will be payable.0 -

I parked my drive from powerchair Paravan WAV in a wheelchair users only bay at Sunderland Royal, you cant really get a car that screams disabled driver at you more than my car and as always my badge (and sometimes my husbands too) was/were on display the full time we were on site.0 -

Could I ask who will enforce the action.

It's free for Blue Badge Holder,s to park at the Hospital I use.
having said that, this answer has nothing to do with the OP,s question neither have answer's 4,6,7 sit,s back and wait,s!!!!0 -

The owner of the land has the right to enforce payment. As I have said before, when you choose to enter onto private property you are responsible to conform to and agree to, their rules and regulations as regards payment. If you don't like it or don't agree with them, then park somewhere else.
Then aren't you the lucky one! No doubt your hospital authority will catch up with the rest in due course.
It is quite clear, as far as the OP's case is concerned, that they did not comply with all of the rules and regulations when parking. From my understanding, a BB holder parking in that hospital is required to advise the security office that they have parked. If they object to giving what information is requested (full name and address etc) by the security office, then they have a choice, move the vehicle off site!!
I still don't understand why people who have a BB and drive a vehicle with a disabled tax disc should expect to have the right to park for free! I don't, and I have those (BB & Disabled tax disc) too. Many is the time that I pay because I think it is the right thing to do. What makes me so special that I should get preferential free parking?0 -
