Does Mr M do a leaflet through the post? That would be most excellent if they do, or one that they have instore?
I've had a leaflet once in a blue moon, but it's not something they do on a regular basis (certainly around here, and the store is only a 10 minute walk each way for me). Only time I've seen anything in store is when I've already had one delivered.....

The official line from Mr M (for the last 12 months or so) is that they are currently looking into expanding into the on-line shopping experience. No dates or any more info than that though (I'm an ex-employee, so got that info from briefings)

Oh, I wish they would! :T

There is a Mr M on the outskirts of Southampton but impossible for me to get there......[STRIKE]I love their cakes[/STRIKE] :o.....oops.....I love their fruit and veg :D

Mine's down in Holloway which means a bus journey or a really good walk! I've only been in their stores a few times as they confuse me so much (they're really not like normal SM layout). I think that there's one down in Bmth though, so if I spot anything good I can pop in there with my sister this weekend. I might attempt to sit her down with my spreadsheets to make her understand how budgeting works. With a 2nd child due any minute, she really should learn this stuff. Then maybe she'll get on board with the stockpiling and can buy stuff off me :)

  • :p I sometimes go into Mr M when visiting mum (96 miles away lol there prob is one nearer) but I pick her up from there sometimes as she works there so I get a discount too :j i've told her to keep her eyes peeled for offers and I will transfer the money to her so she can get them for me :rotfl:think this will only work on cupboard stuff as i only get to see her every month or so ...

I check every receipt before i leave SM's now. They've ripped me off so many times! Just yesterday they charged me £1.40 for some sweets for the kids, the sign said [STRIKE]£1.09[/STRIKE] reduced to £1.00........so they were never £1.40 in the first place :naughty: I got the 40p back though, every single penny counts huh ;)

I've just updated for Mr S, if I've missed anything let me know. Incidentally Persil S&M double concentrate 54 wash is on offer at £5 (9.3p a wash) which works out as cheaper than Mr C's current off of 28 wash for 11p a wash :) I use powder though, so no use to me.

I read Motherships posts a while back and I really want to join in as love bulk buying, but wonder how time consuming it is? I work in different supermarkets everyday so can take adavantage of the offers without having to make special trips, so I suppose its just the spread sheet, how are you all finding it so far?

I just buy when things are on a bargain and bulk up, my cupboard is small at the moment but it will grow as I carry on :) The spreadsheet mostly tells me the price I need to charge myself and whether I'm running low on something :) I'm updating the SM offers on the first page each week so you can get an idea of what's best where.

Would it be easier to have it how it is as per SM, or by aisle? So grocery together, household together etc...

Mr M is my only local sm, and thank goodness for it. I didn't have a car for ages and my next nearest is about a 20 minute drive away. You get used to the layout after a while. It kind of makes sense to me now ;)
