well we're starting from scratch on the running front so we're planning on easy ourselves in gently.
there is a good thread on the i wanna board called " i wanna learn how to run" which is a great read, and everyone is full of advice and encouragementknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
I feel so stupid now!!!!! have changed it and now it works!
We were using the training plan on the race for life page but instead of building up so quickly we do each step 3 times a week, trouble is we have never got past running for 2 minsfinally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0 -
Wow we had sponsors before I knew the page even existed! Thank you so much guys! This is a cause that does have a place for me as a close relative is battling cancer at the moment and its such a helpless feeling. And the 5k run is nothing to the pain they are going through.
And Pav - you will be running this, we will be starting training proper on Friday - even if I have to drag you around!0 -
Good Luck finallydebtfree!!Tesco: £1361.19, Vanquis: £2644.73, Very: £563.08, Next: £1636.95, M&S: £1049.92. As of 5th February 2024. Slava Ukraini0

I'm the Task Master - from the one who made me go out swimming in the icepool of Pentwyn when it was snowing!
Next step Pav... a half marathon!0 -
make it new york and i'll be thereknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Give me enough sedative to survive the 8ish hour flight (whilst ensuring I do not get a DVT - me and my amazing Factor V Leiden!) then I will gladly run (and shop) in New York with you! In all seriousness, IF I was going to do a marathon, that would be it. My cousin did it in 2005 and raised over £6000 and had an amazing time!0
