as some of you may know from previous threads, ive gone on a fitness drive this year, and have actually kept that "i will get fit this year" resolution that i had made every year without fail for the past few years.
to keep us motivated, myself and fellow gymbunny (jennybear on here) have signed up to run the 2007 race for life. this is something that we hope will really make a difference, not only for us, but for the people who will benefit through the money we raise.
if you'd have told me a few weeks ago that i'd even be contemplating entering - never mind attempting to run anything
- i think i'd have died of laughter. but here we are.
its strange the difference that one small thing can make. you could make a difference too. im not suggesting you run a marathon by any means. something little like donating blood does amazing things too (that is also on my things to try this year list
) anyone fancy joining me, and making a difference?

Is that all? 2.5k. A nice steady pace will see you to the end. Remember it's not the winning but the taking part that counts. However we'll be bl00dy disappointed if you don't winThis country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down0

Race for Life is a great day out and it is 5k - 3.1 miles - thought I would let you know for your training programme. Just have fun. I will be at the Race 4 Life for my 8th year and it just gets bigger and bigger and at my race a 12 year old won it in 17 mins!!!! I think I was about half way round when I heard the cheers!!! A great cause - CANCER RESEARCH UK - very close to my heart and probably everyone elses in some way.Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160

bah, whats an extra 2.5k between friends
i knew there was a 5 in there somewhere :rotfl:
to be honest, running even half of it would be a big achievement for me, but so long as i cross the finish line and raise lots of money i'll be chuffed as monkeys. and im a stubborn old mare, so even if ihave to crawl across the finish line, i'll make itknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
