Cheap Calls to Myanmar

An unusual request.
My friend is from Myanmar and he phones his family quite often. The problem they face is the cost of phoning.
The cheapest they've found is 13p a minute (using Callchecker) and NONE of the 'free minute' places like SImply-fone, Yourcall - accept Myanmar.
Can anyone advise us of a cheaper method - if there is one?
