Stamdard practice. Not morally great but legally fine unfortunately.0

Anyone else think that it might be an idea for all the La Senza threads to be merged into one as they all seem to be on roughly the same topic? Or perhaps even a sticky about how shops in administration deal with credit notes/gift vouchers etc seeing as it seems to be becoming an increasingly prevalent problem.0

We still have at least one new thread a week asking exactly the same question.
MSE's Administration Help article answers a lot of questions.0 -
The problem is the company that has purchased the La Senza brand and most of it's assets haven't been paid any money for the gift cards. The new owners would be giving their new stock away for free if they honoured gift cards purchased from a different company (irrespective of the fact the brand name is unchanged).
You will be classed as an unsecured creditor, the unfortunate reality of it is these people are unlikely to get anything near the full value back. Although you may have some options if you paid by debit or credit card.0 -
Three different La Senza threads have been posted into today.
