  • There's some great tips on here and some nice photos too.

OP - at the risk of sounding a little 21st Century, I wondered if you and your intended guests use Facebook?

You could create an Event on there and invite everyone - better still - create a unique Page and then you can update it after the wedding with all your wedding photos for your friends to see and share.

This will cost you the grand total of £0.00.

I appreciate it's perhaps not the most beautiful way to achieve what you're wanting though!

I have designed my invites on Microsoft Publisher. Just about to start putting them together. I will post pics soon.

But for the card, paper and scoring/cutting tools it has cost me £20. So about 25p per invite. Certainly better then the £3-5 per invite I was being asked for from various places!

Ha ha! Yes I have considered it actually - but there are so many of our guests who don't have a computer (let alone Facebook accounts) that we'd need 'proper' invites for them anyway.

Besides, Facebook invites aren't really that romantic either are they!? :)

    But thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Kara, can't wait to see the finished article - everyone is so talented!!
  • Hi, I am looking at making my own wedding cards for my 2013 winter wedding. I found these lovely snowflakes, but think £1.80 is rather alot of money, especially when I need to make 30+ invitations. Does anyone know where I can get them cheaper, I have searched and searched!
They are called Large Rhinestone Snowflake Embellishments. I cannot post a link as I am a new member.

You may be better off buying a similar rubber stamp and stamping it in your chosen colour. A rubber stamp comes in at less than a tenner and your ink pad would be about £5.

As promised, here's some photos of our wedding invitations from Paper Themes. Apologies for the delay, but I've had a lot of planning to do! :)

Although delivery took a bit longer than I'd hoped (causing us mild panic) we were blown away by the invites themselves once they arrived. They are absolutly stunning and we've received many compliments on how beautiful they are.

They were delivered to my work in a lovely glossy black box with embossed gold Paper Themes logo - that got me so giddy & excited I had to have a sneak peak at work! :)

The invitations themselves were made from really high quality material, much better than I'd expected and included a pocket fold invitation, with guest information card and reply postcard in the the pocket.

I'm afraid these photos don't really do them justice as I took them on my mobile but if you like them then they are the Peaches & Cream wedding invitations and there are much better pics on their website.

Overall I'me really, really pleased with them and would happily reccomend them to other excited brides!
