  • Morning all,

Thanks JG, I have been and tidied, washed up etc but I don't think HM food would be appreciated. Yesterday I picked her older son from school and didn't take him home until bedtime so she had a bit of a break and I sent back cupcakes for his packup today. I'm taking her and baby out shopping today (her request) so hopefully she'll open up a little. I hope I'm worrying over nothing!

Today is a low spend shopping trip. I don't need much, and I'm not flush this week so it will be more of a wander around I hope. I shall have the Wally Trolley at my side though in case I can get some free greens for the chickens from the greengrocers. I also have a cheque to pay in and an item to return to a shop so you never know, I may come home slightly 'up' today.

Abel and Cole has been delivered so I now need to meal plan. We've some nice salad ingredients and some courgettes and curly kale, so a bit green this week. I'm not really a fan of kale as I always seem to find a big juice caterpillar in it and then I'm paranoid everytime we eat some. I suppose I should worry when I DON'T find the catterpillar really.

Hoovering and wasing to do, and I really must fetch a parcel from RM and get my fish tank filters changed over.

    Hugs to all.

    Morning all

(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs or wants one

Well day off today but I have to go into work for 3 hours or so, for our annual CPR update (I work in a GP surgery so we all have to do it every year) would liven it up if Vinnie Jones showed up to show us the new thing to "Staying Alive" :rotfl:

So this morning I have been cramming all my usual thursday jobs into a few hours - changing beds, moving furniture to clean under it (instead of just round it:D), wiping paintwork down, deep clean bathroom and doing down the stairs etc - just having a breather with a coffee at the moment. Funny how what usually takes you all day to do can be done in a few hours when you really need to isnt it:cool: Usual thursday shop will have to wait for tomorrow though - but I still have plenty in and just need a few fresh things for the weekend so that will be fine.

Just finished doing the floors too but think I might as well not have bothered - I think I must have the muckiest dog ever, he just loves mud and puddles!!!! I am forever wiping up paw prints whenever it is wet. Good job I have laminate floors - hate to think how dirty a carpet would get!

Also just answered my 5th call this morning about PPI reclaims, how on earth do they get the number when I am supposed to be ex-directory, it is such a nuisance!

Well coffee finished so better crack on - hope you all have a good day.

    x

    Hi everyone
Just a quick post, I will be doing a bit of tidying in a moment, I want to start clearing the kitchen/diner as there seems to be a lot in there, cant seem to understand where it all comes from, must be the mice:)

Have to go to the dentist this afternoon for a filling, not looking frowards to that but I think its in a tooth that has had a root filling in it so at least I wont feel anything (the filling has fallen out of it). :(

January has gone haywire for me money wise so roll on pay day when I can get back on track with it, I know I have had a few bills to pay and some things have gone wrong in the house and car but I have been spending on craftie stuff that I done usually so I will have to watch myself and hunt round CS for material and things.:(

Anyway I'll close now got to make a start on the paperwork spread over the table, hugs to all

    Afternoon peeps,
So, 2012 has not got off to the start I would have liked but I am learning to roll with it :) New meds seem to be helping with the pain but have turned me into a zombie, have gone from 4 hours sleep a night to anything between 12 & 16 hours which is a tad ridiculous, plus naps during thr day!! so am not sure if the painkillers are working or it's just the fact I'm not doing very much iykwim. doesn't help that the first couple of hours I'm awake I have an almighty hangover, which is very rude as I never had them when I used to drink :) Luckily the family are being really great & although it may not all be up to my standards, housework is being done daily & meals are being cooked from scratch & for now I am just floating along on my cloud observing.
Hugs & spoons to those that need them & I believe a Hi5 is in order for Islandmaid re finances. Really nice to see that there is some good fortune out there for those that deserve it, x

Take care all, I shall try & float in again soon x

That isn't totally new....when I did my most recent first aid course in 2009 we were told either Staying Alive or Nellie the Elephant have the right number of beats ;) but then again we didn't get Vinnie Jones either, just Rescussi Annie the dummy!

    Hello all!
Slept till 9 this morning, got up and found son in bed, he said he had a sore back and was refusing to go to college, so in happy mum style I dragged him out of bed and hunted him out the door. The so and so came back about 1 o'clock, mumbled something feeble about a lecturer having meetings and asked for money for his dinner out!!!!!! He wasn't too chuffed with my reply, so has stropped off shouting fine I'll get dinner at my mates house- cue another threat from him to move out I fear, I have the roll of bin bags at the ready for him to pack, wish I knew what goes on in his head sometimes, am amazed by how different he is to DD, hey ho never mind!
Otherwise I have done WMx3, but struggling to find space to dry it all and its flipping cold here today, with sleet and hail showers too. Slow cooker is on with barbecue sauce and pork for dinner, just need to do veggies for me and DD, OH will have an omelette, beans and toast as he doesn't eat pork, leftovers will be frozen in tubs for me to take to work. Will need to iron soon, if any washing dry, no time tomorrow as am taking mum to begin the clear out of great aunts house ready for her to go into residential care....will be glad to go back to work on Saturday for a rest!
    Have a good day all!

Gloomy here today - outside, not inside, it's like living in the middle of a sit-com here!

This morning had a budget meeting with the drop-in staff. Our treasurer is a bit of a tartar and guards all our donated funds jealously. So when we put in our guestimate pleas for next years budget we cut them to the bone. When we'd finished he breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Goodness, I thought you were going to ask for at least twice that amount."

Was given a large piece of jam and cream sponge with our coffee - diet? - so not very hungry for lunch, we had a slice of cheese on toast. Using up odds and ends in the fridge tonight, probably mushroom omelettes with salady bits and wedges.

My eldest step-granddaughter's 21st this weekend. Can hardly believe it, I've known her since she was 18months old. Found a very pretty necklace in an antique shop, I wanted to give her something that she could keep and not something that you could see in every High Street. I don't think that being 21 has much importance these days but heigh-ho! what can I say? I'm just old-fashioned. :D
