I got 2 packs of the drier balls in Norwich - did anyone notice that they are not made by JML anymore but by PMS (and there was me thinking that was something only ladies got!!!!!)

They're copies of the JML stuff, like the disc cleaner and the magnetic bracelets, work just as well, though

Our local store has round fish tanks in and large tubs of fish food. Also lots of 2008 albums.

Please think twice before buying a small bowl for a fish- there are very few fish that are suitable for these- especially not goldfish-these bowls are the main reason that your fish didn't last very long when you won it from the fair all those years ago.

    Thanks for reading, rant over...

Has anyone tried the stirrup bicycle pump? Tried the tesco value pump once (£2) and it's junk.

Do you mean the pump you put your foot on?

I have on of those and its a brilliant pump, very quick.

    Hi!

Yes, it's true Poundland sells everything for a pound and the 99 pence shop sells everything for 99 pence. It's definetely worth shopping there. I tend to buy tissue paper, washing machine tablets, washing powder and my cleaning material there. They do food as well. :rotfl:

Sometimes I find it hard to tell if people are being ironic or being serious in this thread.

I know it's sale season, but do Poundland REALLY sell things for 99 PENCE ??

  • Just an aside, was told that they're stopping doing the 3 for £1 on batteries (still on the order sheet this week, though) and it looks like the Hyundai batteries are being replaced with Kodak and Panasonic. None whatsoever on the order (can you tell I was stuck merchandising batteries all afternoon?)

    I'm confused:confused:
Are you talking about Poundland or the 99p shop?
(and how did you manage to get "washing machine limescale tabletts in Poundland today 99 pence")?

Apologies in advance if I'm being a bit thick. :wall:

    Ian
  • I think she is refering to having bought things at £-land (for £1).

The 99p reference was to the 99p shop.

    In £-land, things cost £1

In a 99p shop, things would cost 99p.

    :)
