Is it possible to unlock an 02 branded phone? My mother in law has been given a "02 ice" phone but she is on Orange PAYG and doesnt want to change to 02.

Thanks,

Pete.

all phone can be unlocked - some free some for a smaller fee and some by service providers only

have you tried another sim to make sure it is locked 1st?

Hi, yeah done that already and it's not recognising the Orange card. I didnt know who manufactured the 02 phones and whether or not I could just unlock it by a code or if its a case of taking it down to my local moby shop.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

Bit of a dumb question, but will o2 unlock PAYG phones for you (naturally for a fee if they do I presume)?
