overdraft fees ? im with them premier account are overdrawn every week so mines going up from £10 t £20 in march so any other banks offering cheaper overdraft fees to recomend im nt paying £20 a month for that.0

They need some way to pay for all the switching bonuses! And they still pay one of the highest rates available.
Halifax charges £1 a day, so Santander is just matching them.0 -
Simple answer to this is to not go overdrawn and then it costs you £0.00 and Santander make £0.00.
If you pay these astronomical price check a mirror for the apportionment of blame.0 -

There are some good things with this account, such as high credit interest, included travel insurance and a fairly good on line set up. I am just wondering if it is worth opening a Halifax account and paying in £1,000 a month, earning the £5 a month reward, then transferring the money into Santander. Any charges can be paid by the reward. Once set up with direct debits etc it should work well unless there are any terms preventing this.Remember a bank will always lend you an umbrella, they will always take it back when it rains0

If you show you are constantly overdraw they will not have you.0 -
