With all due respect, that wasn't really my point at all.
On the contrary, I absolutely agree that the chronically workshy underclass should be discouraged from reproducing. My point was that working people should be supported when they have children (to a reasonable degree - eg for the first 2 children) through maternity pay etc, because, aside from the human reasons like it being natural that people want to raise families, the country needs a next generation of workers.
The human race has managed to survive for hundreds of thousands of years and the availibility of reproductive incentives represents but the blink of an eye in that timescale (and even then, in a minority of countries). I'm certain that the removal of such incentives for particular lifestyle choices would not signal the start of the immediate extinction of humankind. I'd hazard though, it might have a positive effect on global overpopulation. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.
