Did anyone else see that on C4 last night? Series looking at the UK largest families. Imagine how much child benefit and tax credit they must get? When they go shopping they must need at least 2 trollies!
What will happen to these familes when the £480 total benefit cap comes in next year?

i didnt catch the beginning, aside from the usual benefits how did they fund these large families? they seemed to be working types?
also, why did they feel the need to have all these children?0 -
15 children sounds pure hell. Why would anyone willingly put themselves through that! and benefits should be capped to people like that. I bet they earn a 50K plus salary (note sarcasm here) for pumping out so many. Scandalous. All funded by tax payer I assume.0

1) Benefit cap comes into force
2) Families with loads of kids whine
3) An exception is made

Well I can see exceptions for those who already have too many children as its quite a goal post move, but if we can draw a line in the sand after this date you are responsible for your children, odd thought to many I know.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I always feel sorry for the older kids in families like these, as they end up doing endless chores and helping with the younger ones. I can't see how you can split your attention evenly between 15, and give each as much time/energy as you'd like. My Dad and I used to go swimming, just the two of us, and it was nice having something that was uniquely "our thing". If you had 15 kids your opportunities for spending time bonding with them each individually would be severely reduced, which I think is a shame.
Didn't see the programme, but a review suggested both parents were adopted and were tyring to fill some sort of void, and that they weren't chav benefit scroungers as such. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Parents split up, each claim £480 benefits. Each get a 4 bed council house - probably adjoining semis with a door knocked through.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
