It's got to be a technical error their end, I can't believe they went within milli-seconds! I didn't get lucky last time but at least I still saw the dates available. They've cocked up big time!

Do you think this is just a marketing ploy... I clicked my 'make reservation' button about 5.02pm to see that I had the room rate for £59. I only clicked because the home page said that the sale had commenced. When I called the hotel about 5.05pm they said that they hadn't realeased the rooms for the £1 sale yet.......so all of us trying to be at the fromt of the queue stood no chance!!!! And now I am stuck with a room for that price!!

    Can you tell I'm cross??!!

Just as a pure coincidence, I was travelling over Christmas and was chatting to a girl from London. Her mum designed the interior of the Hoxton (as I was forunate enough to get a £1 room and was telling her about it) and the daughter got friendly with one of the workers there................ the guy responsible for bookings over the website !

They were not expecting the overwhelming response in November and didn't have the IT structure in place to cope with all the hits (obviously, since a lot of MSE'ers had problems) and unfortunately, it hasn't been upgraded since November.

So the moral of this little story is that don't expect top results on Wednesday - the IT to cope with thousands of requests is not there.

    I'm quoting myself now !!
