Sorry it is off topic but can I encourage you to find a local charity fundraising volunteer (not a charity shop) to help you justify your addiction!

Just wondered - why not a charity shop?

Am so pleased! :D I managed to get a Philosophy set: the Cranberry tin, they had a few left in Oxford Street yesterday incase anyone had still been looking, down to £4 as oppose to £16! The shower washes last for aaaages! (I've had Philosophy products before and they are very good quality) you only need the smallest bit to get a brilliant lather and they smell really good as well- hope a few people manage to pick up the last lot there rather then one of the mass buyers I've seen on ebay:mad:
  • There were a couple of the 2 pound dannii minogue bags in southampton west quay by the tills today, kiss me quick soaps for 25 p, a few 50p cards, rocket soaps 40p and some photo calendars.
  • anyone know if there is anything left at brent cross?

I got 26 soaps for xmas shoeboxes yesterday so I was very happy. Is anybody aware of London/Essex branches that still have soap?

Hey, you made me feel better about having bought 15 of the Kiss Me Quick soaps!

I'm banned from Boots now but my sister has started calling my bedroom 'THE SHOP'!!

I'll keep an eye out over the weekend and report any back to you (when I'm unsupervised and can sneak into Boots) :D

Shoeboxes is a great idea. I used to do them but stopped for some reason that I can't now think is good enough to deprive a small child of a smile....will start early this year inspired by you! :T
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

I had a dream about the 90 off sale, i got a big long box for 20 quid..god knows what it was:o
Love to know if you ever find out! Lol:rotfl:
  • I use to do the shoe box appeal until i found out that only the shoe boxes get given to children who believe in god and are a christian, so alot of needy children miss out and dont get given them because there not a christian.
    taken from occ website:

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

IMO god should love us all and children are to young to understand fully and focing them to accept a religion or refusing to give them a shoe box because they arent christian is down right cruel.

That's not correct - they are given to children of any or no faith. The organisers are Christian, they're doing this to show God's love and to encourage an interest in Christianity. It would defeat the object if they only gave them to people who are already Christians!
