Let's take a look at what is inside.

Run CPU-Z on the Packard Bell and report back with what is written under 'Mainboard' and Memory'.

Thanks so much... I have ordered two and will attempt to fit them myself... (after watching how to online!) If it goes wrong I have nothing to lose I guess as...

Thanks again for the fab advice (not to mention saving me money!) What a wonderful site this is :D

P.S. I wont be letting my friend near it afterwards... he is obviously not as clued up about pc's as he says he is!

No, not yet! We have to see what is inside first. You might already have one.
Don't worry, Amazon gives you a little time to cancel the order. Come back with the results asap. :)

According to this listing it already has 512MB RAM installed.
Would like confirmation and to check whether the 512MB RAM is confined to one slot. If it is, then you only need one stick/module.
    Have you fallen asleep?

Just seen your private message, what is the file you need me to download and run? What does it do?

Strange. Click on Slot #1 to see information on Slot #2.

Anyway, let's play it safe and cancel the Amazon order for two and then re-order just one module. I guess that it means that one of the slots is free.

    Nothing on either slots!

    Will amend Amazon order... thanks!

Shame... it says I am too late but I can maybe return one for a refund instead...

Yes, they won't have a problem with that action.
