I'm finding new things to do...last year a lot of my time was spent doing stuff planning for my wedding in October. I also did some activity most evenings...belly dancing, gym, zumba. Kind of ground to halt after getting back from honeymoon apart from the dancing and enjoyed a bit of down time but was resolved to getting back to being active for the new year and even started a blog to that effect. But I'm now suffering a lot of hip pain and have been told to avoid doing anything impact or twisty...so my dancing and zumba are off limits
I'm now working on a website to store all my wedding memories, doing more blogging, sorting out all my money filing (long overdue) and actually getting to grips with more domestic stuff (virtually non-existent previously!). It's been odd to be forced into finding new things to but I never feel bored and even a night in front of the telly is enjoyable if it's through choice and not desperation0 -
Im never bored or cant find a job to do; housework, laundry, cooking, dog walking, shopping, gardening, painting decorating, fixing stuff outside, car washing, cleaning thw windows, ironing, the list goes on, oh yea and im a 24/7 carer for my husband.........I actually do like my own company, I do like to sit and have a cuppa and watch the garden birds somtimes.....0

Hmm, well I certainly have plenty of things to do! I am a Parish Councillor, and on 6 different commitees for that. I am a new Guide leader and doing my LQ currently. I'm thinking about joining the Soroptomists. I work full time, read books, play on the tinternet, watch some TV, like films, go out rambling, have friends I enjoy spending time with, a husband and three cats to see occasionally, knitting, sewing, learning to crochet. The list goes on!
However, I do find myself feeling bored occasionally. what I think though, it that it is at times when I am too tired/stressed/anxious to settle to anything. Its not that there is nothing to do, its that I am not in the right state to do them. If I can, I find going to bed is going to bed and sleeping is generally the best solution.Live the good life where you have been planted.

When work isn't getting in the way:
Cooking -first proper attempt at HM chicken stock to make soup on the go as I type
Reading recipe books/food sites
Internet forums - here being a major culprit!
Reading - recently been bringing out my inner geek by reading more sciencey stuff
Seeing friends
Watching tv - mainly documentaries or comedies
Annoying the OH
Lusting over houses we can't afford
Very amateur photography and the subsequent attempts at editing
Growing/killing herbs
Listening to and discovering new music
Playing on ps3 - mainly retro games
Going for a walk or playing sport in the park - not in this weather though!
Going to cinema on cheap days
Making way through OHs dvd collection
Angry Birds
Planning day trips or holidays
The list goes on, but if all else fails, this :I never get bored, because if there really is nothing to do I just sleep, I love sleeping haha.0 -
Ukulele club once a week
Spanish class once a week (A level)
Writing a food blog
Cooking stuff and photographing it for the above
Reading (currently reading Carlos Ruiz Zafon's latest on my much-loved Kindle)
Thinking up reasons not to go to the gym
Learning cake decorating
As of next weekend we will be attending a weekly How To Grow Veggies class and sorting out our allotment (it was great until I slipped a disc in my back last summer and had to temporarily give up gardening, and is now a tangle of weeds)
I have also gone through stages of knitting, crochet, sewing, calligraphy, watercolour painting and life drawing. I still knit/crochet/sew when I actually want something that I can make myself, but it's not really a hobby as such. I'd love to pick up the calligraphy again but struggle to find the time and energy.0 -
