phones 4 u contract!

i have a 24mnths contract with a samsung galaxy s and am nearly a year into it, i had to send the phone back to samsung because it would not hold its charge, they fixed it and sent it back, 3 months down the line it now crashes on startup and the only way to turn it off is to remove the battery, will samsung buy my contract out if something like this happens again or will they just fix it or give me a new one

No. Samsung don't buy contracts out.
They sell their handsets with 24 month warranty and repair/replace them withing this term if they develop a fault.

Unfortunately, if they decide to replace it instead of repairing, it can be a refurbished phone, not necessarily new.
Of course, it has to be in the same or better state then yours.

so say its been going on for say 8 months will they do anything about it then or will they just keep repairing and replacing

If the replacement is also faulty, that is boring, but you need to talk to them again
