Thanks Flourgirl - when I eventually get married I want a red, white & blue theme so these will be great!! OH & I have talked about what we'd like when we can actually afford to get engaged etc and have decided that we'd like to get married on HMS Warrior 1860 here in Portsmouth dockyards (http://www.hmswarrior.org/) so the colour theme goes well with the setting I think0 -
Is it wrong that I also have the bits for engagement party invites?? Cream card with black satin tie topper - simple & elegant I think0

HMS pinafore wedding? What an excellent idea - I am the very model of a modern major general.........................
Fingers crossed we should exchange contracts next week finally :T
Am fed up with sofa people trying to deliver it although am sure if we were waiting for it it would be delayed
PS if you wait till you can afford it you'll never do it says she who's been married twice and only got married this time so she could go to the MaldivesOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Umm, no just black satin ties but that does sound good now you mention it......Think Gayle would do a special commission for me??
Tbh, I am more anxious about having a baby rather than getting married - my biological clock is thumping let alone ticking :rotfl:
However it is nice to have a plan in place for when we do actually get round to tying the knot0 -

I'm sure Gayle would do a special one for you - Nelson Bo would be awesome lol!
Babies are great unfortunately they turn into tall children who are taller and stay up later than you do plus they have a nasty habit of learning how to talk then forgetting how to shut up especially when you're trying to concentrate on something :rotfl::rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi Everyone
This is all a bit confusing! Is there anything here about making cards?
I want to know too...0 -
Hi Queena,
Sorry it's a bit confusing here- as with most things there are terms you gradually pick up and it all starts to make sense!
Is there something specific you want to know or try?
In fact I wonder if we should follow the lead of the sewing room and have a no chat thread with useful links for those new to making cards?
I've been making cards for about 6 months. To get some ideas if you check out our homepages you can see the kind of things we've been making.
When I started I also bought a few magazines as the free gifts are useful and they teach you about card styles etc. I tried to experiment with different things this way to decide what I liked and therefore what to spend money on. You can also watch create and craft tv to see demos of making cards. If there is something you want to learn about a quick search using google and you tube with the term plus tutorial is always useful. There are also loads of useful tutorials at Split coast stampers http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Do you have a Range shop near you as they do a Docrafts magazine which is good for showing how to make cards and always has good free gifts with it. They also do craft demos occasionally. The magazine is sold in some craft shops but where I live we only have the Range.0 -
