Hi,
I have found some old statements of a credit card i used to have from The Associates and the statements range from 1999-2004 and i have found just over £100 worth of 'Cardholder repayment protection' debits on there that i definitely never asked for.
Please can anyone tell me if these are still reclaimable or is it too late?
Thank you.

No its not too late, associates were bought out by citi card I believe so send your complaint to them.
There are no issues going back in time for PPI claims, its just the lack of info, ie if the claim was closed along time ago and the papers are destroyed (the banks will often say they only hold info up to 6 years ago, but when pushed they "suddenly" "find" they have got info going back further).
In this case you have got something to base your claim on so get that questionaire filled in and sent off. On citi cards form they either turn you down straight away and off it goes to the FOS (OH has his old associates with them now) or occasionally they just send a cheque no arguements/ forms to sign at all

Hi and thank you for that.
That is great news.
I have just 2 questions-
1, will the 8%interest apply on this claim?
2, So im guessing that there is no point in asking for the rest of the statements around that time period then, being as mine are incomplete and i probably got charged lots more PPI than what evidence i have?0 -
If you have reasons for mis sell then put a claim in,they usually only redress for the past 6 years,if you have statements going further back these will help, they may charge you for any statements if they have still got them, these may cost more than any redress they may give you.
The 8% does apply.0 -
Thanks for that.
What i would like to know is, providing i was mis-sold, is it 100% sure that i will get my refund bearing in mind it is about 10 years ago?
Is there a chance i could get copies of my statements even though the ones i need are over 6 years ago?
Ps- isn't there a calculator that works out what you may get with 8% interest applies?
Thank you.0 -

If you win mis sell you will get a refund of ppi paid,as i said, some only go back 6 years without proof.
You could try and get copies of statements, but these may cost you.
CC calc for 8% is different to loan ppi 8%,they reset the card and when it is in a credit balance, you dont get the 8% for this.Dont know if there is a calculator for this,if there is and someone knows where it is,they will tell you.0 -
Ok, i will try to get my statements back, please cab someone give me an idea of how to contact Citi cards? Googling them shows some cardholders have been passed on to 'Opus'?0

I got just under 5k back from them for an old Citi Card, and found them to be very efficient in dealing with it. The automatic applying of ppi when they transferred the Citi card was my mis-sell reason.0 -
Thanks for that.
Well im after my statements from 1999-2004 as i only have about one year's worth you see.
Please can i ask some advice? If i just use the statements that i have, will i only receive the PPI i incorrectly paid on those statements or will they pay it all back?0
