I Want Sky+ and Sky Broadband BUT.....

I Want Sky+ and Sky Broadband BUT.....what is the best way to get it?
I currently subscribe to sky with 6 packs and sports (no movies) I get my Internet and phone from BT and of course this is costing me a packet.
So what I want to finish up with is Sky+ (including sports and movies) Sky talks Extra and Sky broadband
I want to get sky+ but have been told by sky that to get it I will have to pay £99 for the box and £60 for the instillation (apparently no subscription cos we have Sky sports) but considering they will need to send an instillation guy for the broadband (the cabling - care of BT -is all over the place running from the front to the back of my house and I want it all at the front) it seems daft that I am having to pay for loads of instillation etc.
What do you guys & ladies think is my best approach?
Should I go for the ring up and claim I want to cancel and go to Virgin as they will give me a better deal? And see if they will offer to upgrade me to sky + ......or is this not likely to happen. If I do this what should I then do about upgrading my other packages? Should I then say at that point well I guess if you’re going to do that I will take broadband and talk as well….
Or is my best bet to ring up to order Broadband and try and talk them into giving me a sky+ box and instillation free as part of the package….
Sorry so many questions but I always worry it wont work and they will somehow know what I am up to!
Oh and can any suggest if anytime or day is better to do this on….do they have weekly quotas etc?
Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions.

Check deal they offer with information on this site.
Have you read any other threads on Sky or done a search if necessary.
This post suggests Sky may not be as flexible on pricing:

Did I imagine it or was there a deal where if you took multiroom you were able to have Sky+ installed for free ?0

You didn't imagine it, but perhaps were over-optimistic. I was in a similar position (excl taking broadband) a while ago. From memory, they gave me a discount on the Sky+ box (though NB £99 may already be discounted!) and free installation if I took multiroom. It meant it was worthwhile to have another room installed and keep that active for the minimum 12 months...at the end of that I'll cancel that room and it should still work as a freesat account.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0

Thanks for confirming I am not losing my sanity, I take it this offer no longer exists ?0 -
£99 plus £60 installation is the standard charge for Sky+ now. They were charging £199 for the box last year.
If you threaten to cancel, you should be offered the box at a discount (maybe up to half price) and possibly free installation.
That's how I got my box.
I'm not sure you'll be offered any discount on their broadband as there's been quick a big take up on it.
On a side note, before I'd decided to upgrade to Sky+ I was stopped in the town centre one day by someone working out of these Sky trailers. He offered me a Sky+ box at half price, though at the time I wasn't interested.Dave. :wave:0 -
Currys were doing an offer where you could get a Sky+ box for half price if you spend over £169 in store.
BUT....
The stores are having a competition this month the store who has the most Sky sign ups, wins some money or something, so you might be able to get them to pull a few strings maybe...?
No idea about the broadband though sorry!0 -

When we had it installed as new customers in April 06, it cost us £89 with 3 months half price.
I'd suggest phoning tomorrow and asking about an upgrade to Sky+, if nothing is forthcoming. Try getting your partner to call up and see what new offers he can get as his partner has leftI've used that in the past to get 6 months half price from NTL
