Automatic settings

Hi hope someone can enlighten me

Recieved my Sony ericsson W850i this morning. Charged it then got round to setting up this evening. Did the usual basic setup then got a text message saying

"Sorry your handset does not support automatic settings. Please call customer service on 4445 who will try to get you the right settings. Calls cost 25p/call"

Help me what is automatic settings and do I really need to waste money phoning O2 to get these settings put right?
Or is there something I can do to get the settings right without phoning?

Any help much appreciated

Automatic settings are used for Wap and Gprs and mms you can enter them in manually so you dont have to waste money calling them,this link has all the settings:- http://www.mphone.co.uk/mms_wap_settings_o2.html
