Anna - bit late now, but use the Tens ASAP, obviously I've not used the labour one, but they are great for back and sciatica pain, I fixed up my new one last night for a test run.
Fredula - good luck, at least you are in the right place and they have started to treat you both!
Please stand up to MIL now or it will just get worse in the future! Your house, your baby, your rules! My MIL can be a piece of work, but from early on I made it clear I was not going to pander to her demands or attempted emotional blackmail of DH and his family.
Cleaning, my DH and best friend are the same, I really wanted a cleaner before Christmas but they have both stepped up there game. Also I give them smaller specific tasks to do, so they are a bit more man friendly! They have to do much more for me because I'm a complete invalid now and if I get upset I puke, so it makes even more work for them
TMI - had a little yellowish leak from my nipple, I know it doesn't automatically come from the centre, but it surprised me still it came from the side. Made me feel happy that breastfeeding looks more likely to happen! As Ive been a little worried about being completely dry up until now.:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

Thank you all... I have tried standing up to her - she was interfering with wedding organisation, and I just talked back to her - she went upstairs to her room and didn't come out for the rest of the night. I still don't talk to her unless I absolutely have to.
As for the specific tasks - I have printed out the list of things that need to be done in each room and it is pinned to the fridge, but he haven't look at it for a year it has been on there! I only made the list, because he used to say he doesn't know what he needs to do when I ask him to clean something!
Sorry, I am just feeling sorry for myself. I am sure it will pass - I just need to think about going home. I don't think I felt like this before - I don't want to leave work, as that will mean I am going home!!!! I am usually first one out of here, as I don't like being here.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Hugs Gin. Men,im sure have blinkers on when it comes to seeing stuff that needs doing. My OH used to be the same. I love my late MIL to bits but she did everything for hubby, which isn't good for future wives and partners. I'm determined my son doesn't get like that. At the mo it is a real battle to make him clean his room tho so going to have to kick Ben up the bum this weekend,I think.:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

I wouldn't worry too much till you're actually feeding. I didn't have so much as a drip all the time I was pregnant, but the full baby snoozing on my front says there's plenty of milk now!0 -
I've asked this on the newborn thread but there doesn't seem to be anyone there at the moment, so will ask here too... Even though most of us I think are on our first babies...
I'm still only getting irregular period-pain cramps but not sure whether to get my TENS machine on now, or leave it a bit until things have progressed to 'proper' contractions... I don't want to leave it too late and not get any benefit, as I think they work best if you get them on early to allow the endorphins time to build up, but I also want to try and get some sleep now while I still can, and if I'm supposed to press a button every time I have a contraction then obviously I won't get any sleep!
What would anyone else do...?
bit late now but i say use it if it helps hun0 -
Hope everyone is doing well.
Went for a routine appt with the consultant today and ended up having a scan. He was worrying that I was measuring big. I'm 27 weeks and his tape measure said 33cm. Anybody know what that means in basic terms?
Said I have to have scans every two weeks now and see him after each one of them. Ended up there for about 3 hours and found it all very stressful as I had no one there with me either.DS1 born June 2000

Fredula - sorry to hear your in hospital, you are in the best place though for you and your baby so I hope you get the rest you need. Xxx
Lisa - hope your ok, you have really been through it with this pregnancy.xx
On the topic of mil's mine can be a right pain too!! We fell out last year as she was constantly digging at me until I snapped and oh had to step in!! She knows I won't take her little ways anymore and has left me alone thus pregnancy pretty much to the point where she doesn't even acknowledge it!! I'm sure she will want to be first round when baby is here and try and get her own way again but I'm not having it this time!! Sorry for the rant, hormones!!:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

They say you should measure roughly the same in cm as you are in weeks but you can be above or below by 3cm I think before they worry about it. I'm 26 weeks tomorrow and measured 23cm so a bit small but I already know baby is small and is also very tightly curled up....and my bump is obviously a little on the small side too but not enough to worry about.
Atleast they're keeping an eye on you.
Been kind to DH and made veg biryani and chicken balti tonight, not my favourite tea but I have to make it atleast once a fortnight as he loves it and would have it twice a week!0 -
Hugs Ginvzt, men can be such a pain in the bum sometimes, and as for MIL's - I don't speak to mine as she went out of her way to tell the whole family what an awful person I was for taking her son away from her and that even though I met my husband 6 months after he split from his ex wife and moved out of the family home, and even though the ex wife had moved her new boyfriend in and was pregnant - that it was my fault my OH's marriage didn't pull itself back together and his kids don't have their dad living with them. She also then went on to tell OH's kids that I was horrible (they luckily paid no attention).
So basically that woman will NEVER EVER have any influence over mine and my childs life, OH can take baby to see her, but she will not be left alone with her, and her opinions will be filed under Bulls%&t!
So anyway - you do what is right for you, and if that means being a bit harsh - then in the long run it will be better for you.
As for other half and the cleaning, I love the idea of spending his bday money on a cleaner - give him a voucher in a card, and look surprised when he gets upset, and say "sorry hunny - I was trying to make your life easier" see how long it takes him to pull his finger out!
On a lighter note, got 2 huggies starter kits (our asda had loads) and got my Emma's diary second pack, so am now armed with loads of coupons to get stuck into at the weekend lol x xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0
