Make sure you have it in your birth plan you want one Mozzy, a girl I know wanted one, but by the time the anesthetist came around her birth had progressed quickly and it was too late to get one. So scream for it early on xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Ok ladies (aplos to anyone who knows about this from a post of mine on the nb-1yr thread)..
Aunty Kira is now going to make a pregnant ladies health broadcast for your own good, based on learning.. TMI alert.
Pelvic floor pelvic floor pelvic floor pelvic floor pelvic floor.
Now, till you pop, and immediately after.
I thought i was pretty good with mine from early pregnancy, but i've discovered this week just why it is sooo important.
I have had norovirus this week , which has meant violent explosions from both ends. Unfortunately my post baby downstairs bits (both bits), have been unable to cope with the explosive forces. Ikk. And embarrassing. Am just glad i did the amount i did, but i wish i had done more, and started back on them earlier after the baby..
So please, please.... do your exercises!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Mozzy Good plan
it really is amazing, but in a way I'm sort of gutted because although it had worn off enough for me to push with contractions and feel pressure, I feel sort of detached from it? If that makes sense?
In my hospital because it was the weekend there was only one anesthetist on duty  luckily I didn't have to wait long. She was so young though, she honestly looked about 18!
Kira :rotfl: when I sneeze a little bit of wee comes out at the moment, but the midwife told me it's normal at this stage. The doc who delivered Aaron, said to me the minute I was stitched up "60 pelvic floors a day or you'l be back to me for prolapse surgery" was always nice to here. I've only started doing mines in the past day or two, as before I just wasn't comfortable enough to do themThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thanks Kira and Gilly
Oh dear, I haven't done any!! Will start doing them then, better late than never.DFD February 2012

Better late than never indeed Mozzy!
DH really helped matters when he suggested helpfully that an adult nappy would help. Huh. That went down well with a hormonal woman upset she is as unable to control an upset tummy as her 4 week old child!
Am told it is worse with bigger babies and forceps deliveries. Strike 2 for me. I'm so lucky.
I guess i should say something nice as well as scary. I've discovered this week, that Claudia really really likes me singing or humming "Frere Jacques" to her, and it sends her off to sleep even when she is a real grizgog. 35 rounds of FJ later, and one sleepy baby. No idea why its taken me 4 weeks to start to try singing lullabies to her to get her to sleep. My nice tip to you, start researching lullablies and nursey rhymes and sing them often now as apparently they will recognise the tune of them when they arrive..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Urgh, I have my first stretchmark I feel crappy about it, melodramatic I know but I just feel like I've aged about 100 years this last 6 months
don't want DH to see it until I've gotten used to the idea. Don't think OBEM has helped my mood, that poor couple and that poor wee baby's arm broke my heart
Pelvic floor exercises, I have a post-it by my bed otherwise I'd forget, hate doing em but needs must!
Sleep well everyone! x0 -
