Has anyone been watching that docu about social workers "who's protecting our children"? I think its called. Its on BBC1 on monday nights. Saw monday's one last night, was heartbreaking to watch:(:(:(

I think I watched that Lucy - was it the couple that had had their previous children taken away, and they had lived in a tent in a park in the freezing cold for a while (IYKWIM!)

    It was terribly sad....

Good luck with the sweep mozzy.

I think my little monster is trying to stress me out! It keeps having periods of not moving, then it'll move a bit then go quiet again. Each time I end up convincing myself I've imagined the earlier movements until I get some more! It's still doing more than the 10 movements per day but the last week and a half its been much quieter than it was before!

    24.5 days to work......I'm not counting....honest!
  • I was just so shocked at the mothers reaction the morning after she'd been out drinking and the social worker came to tell her she would have the baby taken away - she really didn't seem too bothered. Social worker and foster carer seemed more upset. And then when it said at the end that the parents had failed to turn up to visit him, he really was better off without them.

Yep,poor little mite. Even the dad missed his first appointment to see his son for the first time. It was for an hour a week and he couldn't even do that:mad:

But the little baby's face when his dad was singing to him, just melted my heart:)

  • Oh no- I had forgotten about that part. It was almost as if the baby knew who he was.

On a happier note - did anyone see Daybreak this morning - the father who delivered his baby as midwife was stuck in the snow and couldnt get to the home birth?? Had me in tears (again!!)

Yes, both episodes have had me in floods of tears. This week's, just looking at that little baby and knowing she just gave up on him. I was crying my eyes out. So sad for him, so innocent, and so disappointed in her. They need to do something to make sure they can no longer have kids

The first episode,I literally wanted to smack the dad,and i'm the most timid person LOL. No wonder the little boy couldn't speak...he didn't know how to,poor thing. The parents paid no attention to him whatsoever:mad:
I was proud tho that the mum left the partner and did what was best for her children.
