Just back from my 28 weeks appt, LO is still transverse so still measuring a few weeks behind but midwife says it's down to her positioning so nothing to worry about, it's so reassuring to hear her little heart beating away, I look forward to my appointments and this was the first one DH could make so it was lovely for him to hear

Hope the scan went well today Lisa, labour vibes to all those boldies on the list :j

We're pretty much done on the baby shopping thing - only have the hospital bag bits to get now really, a good sling (have a crotch dangler carrier borrowed I plan on chucking in the pram basket in case I have to fold the pushchair on a full bus - so I can at least have my hands free to do the folding bit) and stockpile some more nappies, wipes and changing supplies... and a changing bag I actually like cos I hate the one that came with the travel system. Need to clear space downstairs for the changing mat and stuff I'm putting downstairs first - we've got those cube coffee tables that you can store stuff in and I'm going to clear those for storing changing stuff in to save running up and downstairs/chucking all the mess in when people come to visit.

Mum keeps sending me bits through the post she's knitted or bought bless her! Bairn's got more hand knitted cardies than they'll ever wear for the first 6 months!

Haha dizziblonde, my Mam is the same, I bought two little white cardis from M&S in the sales, she said "why've you bought them, I've been busy" opened the cupboard to find 2 hats, 2 pairs of booties, 8 cardis and some little old fashioned style bonnets! All newborn, she's starting on 3-6 months now! To be fair I love hand knitted bits I just don't have a lot of storage!

Going to look at tumble dryers online tonight, exciting or what! We have real damp problems drying clothes indoors and I'm loathe to get one but see the benefits for the atmosphere in here with a LO so might have to relent

Good effort! I had an interesting time trying to cut my toenails last night, I'm not carrying a huge bump yet but it's getting harder to navigate my way past my knees! Have a lovely bruise on my butt from trying to get into the back of the kitchen cupboards last night, note to self, store things at bench height!

Hi there,

Can I join the big thread please? I am 25 weeks and my EDD is 12th May. This will be my first baby so its all new to me and OH. Delighted that OH can now feel the baby moving around!
We are keeping the sex a surprise.

Am currently aching all over particularly my back. My lower back is in agony! I've always has a bit of a dodgy lower back from working a lot in hospitals years ago but I couldn't go to full term with this level of discomfort - any recommendations for easing the pain other than baths?
