Don't be too worried about using it. I think the general advice is sooner rather than later. You just won't have to change settings or use the boost button for now.

Not yet mozzy i dont feel the pains Im having are regular enough for labour contractions. They are pretty intense but if I concentrate on my breathing then theyre not too bad. We are timing them and everytime I think we've got a regular pattern it changes :( scared to use the TENS too early.
Don't be scared of using it too early. Once you're certain you're in labour, stick it on as the reason TENS doesn't work for a lot of people is they put it on too late and the theory behind it is meant to be the endorphines that are built up. To give you some idea though, I put on my TENS machine at 8am, and went to hospital at 4:30pm, took it off at 5pm to get in the pool. And I still had 2 more levels plus the 'labour' level to use! So I didn't up it enough when I should have because I was concerned about using a too higher level and then running out of levels when it got painful!

I would put the tens on for an hour on 1, and see how it goes, if pains get more regular and painful don't be afraid of turning it up.
