I have put Mse as my middle name and also on the info if friends click on my profile I have my maiden name incase old school friends start searching, plus my surname isn't that common so hopefully there are not too many with my name out there

Also, I post a lot of winners on the Facebook thread on this page, I am doing it to help people to claim their winnings, it makes you stop and think about it. But I doubt anyone on this forum would do anything, unless someone lurking, would look just to try and claim a prize. I know if it wasn't for some people tagging my name on FB I would have missed some winning prizes in the past

Hi, what do people use to search for wins please.

Im on The Winners Circle on facebook and use social searcher but for some reason nothing appeared for my latest win which was announced on their facebook page on 2nd feb. I hadn't had an email and only spotted it by entering this months comp and seeing Karen from Sheffield was last months winner. Only by digging on their facebook page did I find out it was me.

Is there anything else I could be doing?

You just need to watch having Mse as your middle name as this is another thing FB are clamping down on, people not using real names. Apparently some people have had their accounts deactivated as if they are unable to produce ID in the same name as their FB name then FB have been deactivating their accounts!

google is the other way, sadly none are 100 per cent..i really on friends or popping back after a comp has ended to have a look.. if companies did it by app like they should do at least you'd get an email.

and yep i'd avoid mse in your name or fb accounts in your mse name as they are shutting accounts down like mad...

Thanks for the informative post...I ALWAYS assumed the comp providers would contact me!! You would think that the competition winners would email your Facebook (the one that you won on)

only if they have your email..or you have set your messages so anyone can message you..
most comps are done on walls so they usually don't have that option

they could tag you in their posts but again these are easily overlooked.

the norm seems to be...so and so won please email us..

and your welcome just would love people to get the prizes they won rather than someone pretending to be them

I do wonder about people not using their real name, if they won a cash prize in the form of a cheque like the Anchor or Walkers ones, would they be able to bank it?

Just looked to see if I've got any unclaimed but no such luck lol. Infact, I can't find the ones I HAVE actually won
