  • I didn't think you would understand that just like you don't understand hard work and saving. You talk about depressing nature lol look at your username for starters

We are where we are - deal with it

Here you go again, now making generalisations about my work load and my savings ethic.

    HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY KNOW?

Your input is not difficult to understand on this board, you want house prices kept high for whatever reason(probably small todger syndrome) and will attack in anyway possible who dares to counter your boring mantra.

You are one of lifes selfish, and lets make a few generalisations about you... probably single and bigoted, would never self sacrifice to help others, your greatest love is yourself. Thinks everything revolves around money.
  • Let's cut to the chase - you don't really care about anyone outside of your friends and family - you want a HPC because it suits your situation.

People in general have it very good in this country. Those who have worked hard for a house why should they suffer just so you can get a leg up. The world doesn't owe you anything.

    For crying out loud:rotfl:

How many more times do I have to say it, when it comes to my own selfish needs....

YES I WOULD LIKE A PROPERTY CRASH

At least I am on honest about where I am coming from, and if someone put to me that they prefer high property inflation(for whatever reason) and was polite about it, I would be fine about that also and say we will have to agree to disagree on a number of issues, NOT all related to my own needs.

Would you be pi**ed of with me if I wanted cheaper food in this country, even though it might effect your shares in Farmstores or Tescos.

I have always worried about the guilt feeling I would have when the property crash comes, but with people like you being hit along with BTL landlords the pain is greatly reduced.

And besides you guys are always telling us it will never happen, and even if it did it will not effect any of you, so you lot say... Mmmmmmm
  • Define crash in %
  • Define crash in %

I would say 25% plus in nominal terms..

And as I have often pointed out(on here as well), I do not want falls of 50% likely are unlikely as the case maybe.

Can't stand the site and it was probably you are Sibley that brought it to my attention, but whatever!!

There is the use of your over emotive "everyone is vile who wants affordable housing" rants again.

    So funny
  • Ok so once prices have crashed 25% you would buy? How long would you wait for this to happen before it not being worth your while waiting any longer ( due to rent payments outstripping benefits of waiting)

Could you buy now? Or is a 25% prediction your only way of getting a house?

Do you know what the sad thing about people like you, you have single one track tunnel visioned mind, everything is so black and white. I have owned numerous properties in my life, one of them was one of the biggest mistakes in my life, although it was the most profitable.
I just don't think like you as do many others. Maybe I will buy and maybe I won't in the near future, I base my choices on quality of life.
When I see two young people killing themselves by working insane hours(like I have done in the past) I feel like screaming at them that their young fit healthy years are more important, enjoy your life.

It is mind sets like yours that has made the ownership of property ugly, I have seen people buy potentially wonderfull property only to get to the point where their kids are going to uni and then realising they never spent hardly any awake hours in their hard worked for prison.

I probably will buy the type of home I am looking for at around the 25% less mark, but my aim will always from now on be quality of life.
  • People's quailty of life can get much better when they have there own home. You don't fool me. you even admit you made money on property yet hope for a crash because it suits you - you had your chance and stepped off the ladder.
