Not really my girlfriends a teacher and she find it hard to be able to save up and pay for everything. Unless that's brainless work of course.

Well of course it is. Do you actually have any dealings with young people? They can barely communicate, cant spell, have very little cultural references in life. Its an utter disgrace.

The old saying, "those who cant, teach" has never been truer.

So do I have this right, you are suggesting that a woman who teaches 5 year olds how to finger paint is somehow intelligent and well paid. I dont know, she may be over paid by tax payers, compared to other women in the real world (ie private sector)

I write bespoke software for businesses. Its very lucrative as you can imagine.

As for schools, my family made sure I loved to read. They bought me my first computer at age 12 which I taught myself how to program. So who I am today is more to do with that than any school.

Admittedly there was some useful things like maths, theoretical physics and chemistry.

I have to wonder what it is what you do exactly, if your example for a big earner is a woman and one who teaches 5 years olds. :rotfl:

Im a doctor, and you seemed to have missed my point entirely. I am saying she is bright well educated yet without me she would never have been able to buy any where. Dont understand how having a 1st class degree from a respectable university, and top A-levels makes her stupid.

Who knows as it's location dependent.

But any more than 25% more in the NE would mean we were back to 2001/2002 and everyone would be (more) screwed.
  • why don't you ask the HPC mob what they think through the medium of HPC. as you many have noticed, this is not HPC.

    Agreed:T

I notice Sibley is constantly venting his spleen about them, what he fails to see is that his contribution on here is a mirror of what they do, two sides of the same coin mate.
I got to learn about HPC on here, and you would have though being the major internet forum on that subject that they would have some good quality debate and material, looking at there site now you can only think how limp they are, the quality of posting is terrible.

I am critical of many posts on here for not being true to themselves, I honestly believe that many of MSE more bullish posters are more terrified of a crash than they let on, and I think many on HPC are exactly the same.

They betted on a property crash between 2005 to 2007 and it never came.

The quality of the debate there is now really poor. The major contributors there left years ago (Bubb, FP et al). The debate can be described as fringe now at best and completely mentalist on the other hand. The HPC happened and in nominal terms is now complete. As for real price falls? I dont see much in the way of significant wage rises any time this decade as sentiment is going to be decidedly poor for a long time.

I pop across to Greenenergyinvestors (google it) now and then (bubbs forum), there are one or two gems over there now and then amongst the mirth of crud...

I do believe the time of house prices as a appreciating asset class (defined as >2% CPI growth) are now over and equities will come back into the fold... we are approaching a massively capitalist approach to the globalized economy and one that if you are smart, can benefit significantly. The FTSE 250 is the index I am looking at at the mo.
