  • Hi again, just heard from the owner Karen at the http://www.aquamarineguesthouse.co.uk/ and they do accept children right from baby age, they have not been there too long and need to update the website to show that.

We stayed at the Toorak Hotel (part of TLH) last August and I would say the complex was value for money. The Toorak was the highest grade hotel on the complex and the rooms def needed renovating. The food was ok and again value for money. The staff were also very helpful and friendly and the children had great fun in the indoor pool, hot tubs, saunas etc..

As a resort its not perfect by any means but its def value for money...We stayed for 7 nights, full board ,in August and it was £1600 for a family of 4(2 adults,1x 12yr old and 1x7yr old ) staying in a family room which was huge ,but needed updating. The Toorak is a 5 minute walk from the beach and its worth checking out the views on tripadvisor.

Theres plenty to do in Torquay and the surrounding area for all ages.

Are you not watching Channel 4 this month??

Why not stay with Mark, Christian and the Gang at the Grosvenor...:rotfl:

I live here in South Devon and DESPITE the documentary, I don't think the Grosvenor is a bad deal for the prices he charges!

There are definitely options for every budget here. Instead of staying in a hotel, why not book a family room in a good B&B (there are plenty in easy walking distance of the sea front, which is also right next to all the arcades, the gardens and the swimming pool with added waves every 30 minutes!!;))

I am NOT a B&B owner by the way, not in the tourism industry at all, thank God :D
  • good information for travelers who need to stay.
