No, directly through Continental as they had the best prices. I'm sure it'll be fine, but we'll buy a Boots meal deal anyway! :)

I found both UA and CO's meals to be pretty reasonable (for economy flights) . Never thought much of Boot's sandwiches though-Why not just bring a pack up from home ?

We'll be travelling to Heathrow the day before and staying in a hotel as part of a hotel & parking deal from Holiday Extras.

We tend to bring our own snacks and things anyway, might just want something more 'fresh' for the day. As food is provided then that won't be an issue. I'm trying to be more frugal in order to save for the holiday!

I don't mind economy food at all (never flown in any other class) so I'm not fussy but that's good to know :)

There's a few 24 hour supermarkets near Heathrow -depending on which side your hotel is there's a big Tesco in Feltham near the station -and Sainsburys in Staines near the Causeway. Might be useful to keep costs down.

Couple of years ago I booked the Travelodge at Feltham at one of their silly sale prices-dinner the night before was a mystery shop visit at the adjacent Wetherspoons-breakfast was bought from the also adjacent Tesco-we then hopped on the public bus from the also adjacent station for £1 with an Oyster card direct to the terminal. I suspect we paid as much for everything including hotel in total as just a full English would have cost for two at the nicer places at the airport :)
