  • could you not just eat them sucking out excess gin as you go:confused:
  • My mum made crumble with hers but did say you maybe shouldn't drive after!!! I read a thing once where you should freeze them and add small amounts to pate - put through the mincer with the meat - obviously stoned

I read somewhere about using them in icecream I think (only think mind!) it was on downsizer.net. They also mentioned about adding cider to the sloes to make ?"slider"? may or may not be worth further research!

I put chocolate on mine and they were gorgeous! Had to remember that i had not removed the stones though. I will definitely take the stones out next year before I make the gin.. I don't j=know which i liked the best - the gin or the chocolate covered sloes!! Hic.....;)

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I stoned mine and put them in an ice cube tray - poured melted dark choc. on them and they became liqueurs for xmas pressies. seemed to go down well.
  • stone them (very laborious but worth it) and make sloe gin truffles with the fruit. GORGEOUS :j :j
