As said I would try sfc /scannow

P.S If you just wanted to post a screenshot of the dialogue box that popped up you can hold down the Alt button then press Print Screen

How long have you had the skin/transformation pack loaded ?

If you have legit XP visit http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us
Select the "Custom" option not Express - when the checking has finished have a look at the optional hardware drivers and software updates available, on the left of the page. Add to the MS selected updates (Unless you don't want IE7, so uncheck) all the hardware and any relevant optional software updates. Reboot as needed, then return to the site and look for more.

The updates start working after i disable my firewall im using th latest version of comodo.

i think i might of found the problem svchost was blocked on my firewall my updates have started working as well thanks. Hopeful it wont come up again. it will probably come up in a few mins.lol
