IVA Advice Needed ASAP

Options
Myself & Fiance entered an IVA in april 2007 which i was paying every month without fail and in june 2008 my direct debit was getting returned to my bank account without reason, i let it go for 1-2 months and after trying to contact the IVA company i originally set up the IVA with i was getting no joy of communication. In and around this time i moved house (rented) and stopped paying the IVA comapny as stated (getting returned) and until this day have not had a letter of correspondance of any kind, ive checked mine and my partners equifax and experian credit reports and both state SETTLED in june 2008 (odd). I recentlly went and spoke to local CAB advisor and he checked the IVA register to which has no entries of myself or my partners information. Im curious on what to do next can anyone advise me please as im currently trying to get my credit file in order and move on with my life.....

thanks :)

Well as stated not sure of what to do, obviously i have no certifcate to prove the IVA is settled so i suppose it would be a case of wait and see if the IVA will drop of my credit report within the 6 year window ??

    regards

It becomes statute barred anyway after 6 years so seems like you are onto a winner regardless ;-)

Although that won't ever stop sharks like Mackenzie Hall chasing you LOL - are they still around?
  • What company did you enter your IVA with?

Can anyone advise as if i have no IVA certificate that it will not remove from my credit file ?
As on my file it now states settled...

    kind regards
  • All very odd! Only your IP can remove your record from the insolvency register and this can only be done upon completion. Mine ended in December last year, but as I'm waiting for my completion certificate under the HMRC fiasco I'm still on the register. Have you asked this question on the IVA.co.uk website? If not, I would be tempted to ask the experts on there.
