Mine ended in December last year, but as I'm waiting for my completion certificate under the HMRC fiasco I'm still on the register. Have you asked this question on the IVA.co.uk website? If not, I would be tempted to ask the experts on there.
Hi
On my credit file it states settled on a specific date and ive also checked the IVA register and there is no trace of my name or my partners names or adressses ?
thanks0 -
Hi all
On our both credit files it shows completion on a certain date and there is nothing of both our names showing on the IVA register....
thanks0 -
Hi howie94.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'd imagine that your IVA was cancelled on the grounds of your non-compliance.
That would usually mean that you become directly responsible for your debts again.
One way to confirm this might be to consult with one or two of your creditors to discover whether or not they believe that debts remain owing to them.0 -
Your debt cannot become statute barred until earliest June 2014, and even then the debt doesn't actually die, it just means that you cannot be pursued through the courts for it. A creditor may write it off, but then again they may not. I have to say that I agree with DebtCompanyInsider as regards the IVA being cancelled, you look to have avoided the major backlash from your creditors simply by moving house it seems. The new occupiers may be a bit cheesed off with your mail though.0

hi
All mail was redirected on the house move so new occupiers would'nt be too cheesed off ??? also regarding debt creditors ,my credit report shows nothing apart from 1 creditor which remains on my credit report that originally was included in the IVA, id like to mention i spoke to my local CAB office last July 2011 and they stated that as im not on the IVA register nothing shall come about it after 6 years as all creditors couldnt persue as it would be debts as old as 6-9 years old ?
thanks your advice is appreciated.0 -
Hi
Just an update- if the IVA shows settled on the 3 credit file accounts, without the IVA completion certificate will thie IVA settled leave my reports likewise with previous defaults ???
kind regards0 -

Not a good idea, before April 2013, as the 6 year statute bar clock will start again if you contact them.0 -

Hi all
Please note that the clock would only be restarted if OP made written contact. A phone call would have no such effect.
I am presuming that the above post meant to read April 2014 by the way!
