The last time I went into one of their shops, it was maybe 3 or 4 years ago, I was pounched on by sales assistants on commission to sell jewelry. Not very impressed with that and did not go back.
DD worked for Past Times, they're not on commission for jewelry - or anything else - but the company sets a standard that every customer is 'welcomed' within x-minutes of entry to the shop and that sales staff inform customers of the jewelry offer.
They had to push add-ons like boxes or cleaning cloths too.

I love the shop, but hate when buying expensive gifts they most often don't have the boxes to put them in:(:(Have seen tons of stuff I want on the site though:D:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

From the website:

I saw that - also anything returned that was bought prior to the 16th will be subject to an unsecured claim and anything returned that was bought after the 16th can have a refund.
Like most, I think the store has something lovely things, but I never seem to go in there. Feel very sorry for all the staff though"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

I love this shop. And La Senza. I wish both could be saved. I'm a fan of Milletts too. What will we be left with if things keep on like this?

And now that Peacocks and Pumpkin Patch are in administration the only thing left on the high streets will be pound shops and Tesco Express!:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Really annoyed -ordered somethings before christmas from the website & had to return some as boxes damaged. Checked my bank account & not received a credit back so contacted past times to be told tough luck basically!0

Thats hard luck =- especially as they must have stock still left to be sold.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

It is a real shame. It has gone from the high street here - it went a few weeks ago. It was always such a busy store and I got a lot of Christmas presents from there. Hawkins Bazaar has gone from the opposite side of the high street too - that one is especially eerie, as the store is still full of goods, there is just a notice on the window saying it is closed [has been for weeks].

Just wondering - how secure is it to buy things off the website now? As in, how likely is that the orders can be fulfilled?0
